What about people who believe, simply, that a power greater than them
created them, and thus go to church to give thanks for their life?

Glad you've enlightened us as to "what's really happening". I'll be sure to
inform my parents (and the millions like them) that they are just using
church like alcohol...as an equalizer....or a "be-good" environment. Could
you be more insulting....yikes.

I think the reason you've got me so fired up on this is that it's insulting
statements like yours, that can make it more difficult for us to fight true
religious extremism and zealotry. They accuse us of anti-religious bigotry
and ignorance of their beliefs...and you go and prove them right.
