alright, well, I do have to say that I am not really in the burbs -- my
commute is maybe 12 miles from the foothills into the valley. So when I say
"going downtown" in Albuquerque this doesn't quite have the same meaning as
driving into DC from Harper's Ferry.  Still. It's been fun.

However, it can be scary driving a pocket rocket being the smallest thing on
the road. I can never find the thing in parking lots and when you get out
onto the open interstate where the speed limit is 75 and everyone is going
way faster, you have to be quite religious about defensive driving. I had to
run a visitor up to Denver airport recently and while it was ok in populated
areas in the daytime, I went through some lonely stretches quite late at
night coming back and went off onto the access road just so I wouldn't have
to worry about truckers running me over....
