Yeah .. we all know Ben Falloon hates Americans ;) But still, at the end of
the heated discussions we all get along just fine. Debates tend to get
heated sometimes, but there's always respect. I'm guessing your pretty new,
or else you would have seen many of the controversial subjects that have
been discussed over the year. No one gets all upset and pouts, whines,
holds a grudge, refuses to speak to someone else ever again, etc.

To suggest that we can't hold a decent conversation, or debate, is just
unfair. I've seen total knock down drag-out flame wars on other lists that
devolve into to acts of personal revenge (signing someone's e-mail up for a
crap load of spam sites, etc.) over the most trivial, stupid things. This
list is, by far, the most well behaved, respectfull list I have ever seen in
my time on the Internet.

You might want to take some time to lurk and get a feeling for the people
here. It's usually not a good idea to come into a list, post a "hostile"
message and then have a knee-jerk reaction when you face resistance by
insulting people.

Usually, just saying, "Oops, you misunderstood me. Let me try to clarify my
position." and then go on with a well thought out, non-accusitory discussion
fixes everything right up.

Give it a try :)
