Gel, sometimes you really are a dick.

Your condescending attitude, and ability to put stuff into people's
mouths they never said is sometimes frickin amazing.

I am very aware of the civil war Lebanon went through. I lost a few
neighbors and neighbors family in that "civil" fighting. I was brought
up in a community that was aware of the deaths on a daily basis.

Your smarmy comment about Canada being part of the US is also assinine.

No, Lebanon never officially requested help from the international
community dealing with Hezbollah. They made a number of oblique
references to the fact that they cannot control them, but never
formally requested help. Or they would have had it. It has actually
been suggested to them by various international representatives, but
they did not want to risk angering Hezbollah, and potentially plunging
the country back into a civil war (possibly a reasonable fear). They
did, however, make the choice to "do nothing", and let Hezbollah do
what it wanted, where it wanted. This was a "take the easier" path
choice the country and its leadership made. They made this bed, and
now somewhat have to lie in it. I agree it sucks, and maybe all their
choices were bad ones. But they made this particular choice (to join
into a government with Hezbollah), and now are realizing what exactly
that means.

I also never said the people DESERVE it, but that this is an almost
inevitable consequence of having terrorists as part of your
government.

And the fact that you say I want to find an excuse for the murder of
1000 innocents is what makes you a true prick. FUCK YOU.

Please tell me where I ever said that, hinted at that, or gave anyone
but you the impression I condoned it in any way.

Jeesh.
