You totally missed the point which is why now to attack? Because of 2
kidnapped soldiers? Why not 3 months ago, why not 6 months ago, why
not 2 years ago?

My point is that 2 kidnapped soldiers aren't worth attacking stupid.
Hezbollah set up Israel by taking 2 soldiers and Israel took the bait
which resulted in the killing of civilians. That's the case Hezbollah
is making, "we attacked soldiers, they kill civilians" (yes, yes,
they're the real killers blah, blah, blah)

Hezbollah couldn't make that case had Israel decided that, yes the
military would need to go in, but at the right time and in the right
way.

Here's the analogy: every week a bee stings your kid. You know the
bees are coming from the woods, but you figure maybe they'll go away.
Then one day your kid gets 2 bee stings. What to do?

Your solution
-------------------
Run into the woods flailing wildly, striking out at anything with or
near a bee. In the process you totally destroy your neighbors shed,
garden, and sustain hundreds of bee stings. You finally tire out,
drag your ass home, and realize the woods are still full of bees.

My Suggestion
---------------------
You do some thoughtful recon and find the nest without agitating the
bees, get the right equipment and supplies you need to destroy the
nest, and then hire an expert exterminator to make a single
devastating blow (Powell Doctrine) that takes out the nest. This will
take a few days and your kid might get stung again, but you'll rest
easy knowing your first blow will be your best one and may solve the
problem.
