So some time within the next month (assuming I can sell a house), I'll
be moving the family from Jacksonville FL to Redlands, CA.

Was offered (and accepted) a position with ESRI. Mixed emotions
overall. I think the job is going to be infinitely better (ESRI has
been in business for 30+ years...never laid off an employee...really
seem to care about their employees), but the family really likes Jax.
It's green, has beaches, and we've made some good friends here.
Redlands, on the other hand, looks somewhat desolate based on what we
saw when I flew out for the interview. I'm hoping we only had time to
see the desolate part and the rest of it is lush and green and has
naked lesbians frolicking.

Today begins my last 2 weeks at Vurv (formerly Recruitmax), and my
tentative start date with ESRI is Sept 16. Listing the house with an
agent today, and hoping that we can get some interest. Otherwise
gonna have to drop the wife and kids off with her parents (in AZ) and
I'm going to have to get a little weekly hotel room until the house
sells. can't afford to do much else in Redlands if I still have
mortgage payments to make in FL :(

In the midst of all of this (the interview process with ESRI has
actually been going on for a while now), we recently found out that my
wife is expecting baby #3. Estimated release date is March 14.

Lotsa changes for Charlie.

Anyone want to buy a townhouse in Jax? :)
