I use a program called mailwasher pro.  basically it shows you the
emails on the mailserver, and you can bounce 'em (as if the email
address is invalid).

yes, it takes time to do, and i can't say i've noticed any real
decrease in the amount of spam I receive...but i get all tingly in my
giblets just knowing that the spam is never making it to my inbox
(even if i'm the one stopping it via a manual process).
