As the Fonz would say, exactamundo. It's kind of surprising that when
it comes to Schiavo Dana is all for the government trampling family
rights, but when it's an entire country, well, we should ignore it.

Robert - you said it perfectly: he's driving the country to financial
ruin by bribing the little guy. It's a classic case of giving a man
fish rather than teaching him to fish. And Chavez continues to dig a
deeper hole. He continues to run up his debt to the people which
causes them to demand more.

The worst part is you'll indoctrinate a whole country of people into
thinking that their quality of life should be provided by the
government rather than their hard work.

Hell, if someone offered me free oil money because I had a breath I'd
quit working now. You're to end up with a whole country of people
that quit working because Uncle Chavez will take care of them.

And this all ignores the fact that he's also the last straw propping
up Cuba, a country with a leader that personally helped shoot 1000
school teachers in a soccer field because they disagreed with him.

And there's the Iran connection.

Frankly I'm surprised anybody with a conscience could look at Chavez
and not want to somehow help a people being horribly led down a path
of ruin. It's like watching 2 trains about to collide and deciding
not to tell them because, hey, we should leave people alone.
