The Bush administration has spent the last 4 years telling us that Iraq was turning a corner; that the insurgency was in its "death throes".
The Administration also said that we Americans didn't know it because .... the media was only covering the bad stuff. Well, with the recent change in his rhetoric to it-could-be-worse, it got me thinking that he must be saying that the media got it right after all; that they were covering the real story; that they were right and he was wrong. So his change of rhetoric must me that he now endorses the media.
