We don't do the research, but we provide scientific products to the
researchers. I took a "biotech for dummies" class recently. They talked
about this research as well as other promising research in the field. The
other end of the spectrum on this research is figuring out how to switch off
programmed cell death in healthy cells, which could lead to tremendously
increased longevity. A question in the long term is how such a change would
affect mutations in the body. Over time cell division causes replication
errors in DNA that can lead to genetic mutations. Fascinating stuff, really.
