I couldn't believe the patently cheap shots the Giants linebackers
were taking last night. I know there is always some interesting
goings-on in the scrum, but last night I saw about 15 one-on-one fouls
after the play was dead, mostly involving the tackler half standing
up, and then dropping an elbow or forearm (with all their weight) on
the back of the running-back or receiver's neck. If it happened just
once or twice, I wouldn't have really noticed. But when it happened
over and over again, in the open field, with the camera trained
directly on them, it was hard to miss. It was obviously taught this
year at the Giant's camps. Someone mixed up the WWE reruns and
training tapes, me thinks.
