There may be a way to degauss it. It happens when color bleeds or is off
balance.
Hopefully it is just that.

Subject: tv woes (rear projection set)

so...we just moved from FL to CA. in transit, i think something might have
happened to our TV. We've got a 47" Akai rear projection set.
Now, in the upper right hand corner, there's a red and yellow triangle.

not sure how this is gonna come out, but it's worth a shot

-------------------------------------
                        \ \ R
                         \ \
                          \ Y \
                           \
                            \
                             \

-------------------------------------

ok so that looks nothing like my TV...and the triangle doesn't go down half
the screen...it's equilateral and just sits up in the corner taunting me.

if the screen happens to be a blue screen, the triangle is black. if we're
watching TV, it's that red/yellow combination.

so...

1) any ideas what could be causing this?
2) is this easy (cheap) to repair? the whole set was under $990 (with
stand) at Costco, so I don't really want to invest much in it if at all
possible.
