Been running IE7 since beta 2 on my laptop and IE6 on the desktop. It is a
*major* improvement on IE6 but is still full of compromises to meet
backwards compatibility requirements for IE based applications.

We have noticed that when we're developing for (making our sites work in)
IE, there are definitely fewer hacks required for the CSS than IE6 ever
needed so the CSS DOM implementation would appear to be far closer to being
compliant than it has ever been in IE before... You just have to watch those
doctypes!

When you plug in tools like my list below, as a development tool and all
round excellent browsing experience, FF is still out there by a country
mile.
