That's great question. Thanks to Bush's colossal Iraq feck up we've limited our options hugely, but, as I posted earlier, you have to use the combination of diplomacy and a military threat. 1.) We need to align our allies behind *a* policy (not necessarily ours). 2.) We need to engage with Iran diplomatically with our allies and make clear what the consequences are. 3.) We need to frank about giving in to some of their wishes of regional control. As difficult as that sounds, we have too because Bush's Iraq feck up gives us no choice. The Bush policy now is hope the whole problem solves itself. It won't. So we've got to start thinking seriously about concession that'll freeze the current situation until we can extract oursevles from Iraq and therefore present a real military to Iran. Possibly we invade and eliminate the Mullahs. But we can't even start thinking about those options until we clean up Bush's mess of choice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:216144 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
