Randy,

I've never used AIM PhoneLine. However, just a bit of info to use in your
decision, since I noticed you listed a con under AIM of "unable to choose a
phone number you like" -- with SkypeIn you do get a phone number or numbers
with the area code of your choice; however, you're forced to choose your
actual number from a list of about 20 that they generate. You don't actually
get to "choose" your full number, per se.

Also, what helped in my choice to go with Skype, because I was evaluating
several services, was the fact that Skype has a very active developer
community with some really good add-on products available. For instance, I
can't remember because this wasn't a concern for me really, I *think* I saw
an add-on product that allowed you to aggregate multiple numbers imported
from Outlook under one Skype contact. The list of products available to
enhance Skype is long, but it's worth it to browse through and see what's
available that may help alleviate those concerns.

Here's the URL for the add-ons: http://share.skype.com/directory/
