I'm pretty rusty and don't have a notes client locally to take a 
look.  I'm surprised it's not there by default (I would have sworn it was 
in Notes 4 when i was doing a lot of this stuff).

  You'll probably have to create a new view.  If you don't have design 
access, you can probably create views, but you should still be able to 
create a folder.
