No, that was mostly British with that twit Baden-Powell. That whole seige 
should not have taken place - it only did because of the incompetence of the 
British.

My great grand uncle was at Second Paardeberg with the RCR then later 
transferred to the Lord Strathcona Horse to serve with a Western Canadian 
regiment. He served throughout the guerilla campaign with them. Cool little 
story about that when the Lord Strathcona Horse arrived in South Africa 
Kitchener was astonished at the size of the newly arrived Canadian soldiers. 
Their commander, Sam Steele, is said to have replied "My apologies, sir. I 
combed all of Canada and these are the smallest I could find."
