I love the fact that we are so concerned with our enemies getting secret
information and give such light sentence to our friends when they happen to be
caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Makes one proud to be an American.

"An American court has sentenced a Pentagon analyst to three months in jail for
passing highly classified information to two Chinese military officers. The
sentence guidelines called for a term of four to five years, and Jonathan
Pollard was sentenced for life in jail for a similar offense more than two
decades ago.

Judge Gerald Bruce Lee said the charges against Ronald Montaperto, were "very
serious" but decided on the light sentence because of letters of support from
military and intelligence officials. Montaperto handed over secret and top
secret material during 60 meetings with Chinese officials.

Earlier this year, an American court sentenced Pentagon official Larry Franklin
to jail for 12 years for providing classified information to the America Israel
Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)."
