I use a DELL Latitude D610 for work (WinXP Pro Sp2, 1.8 GHz
processor), it was leased about a year and a half ago and i haven't
had any problems with it except on one occasion the thing bluescreened
on me (though not in a BSOD way). It looked like it was shutting down
and stuck. I had been working with it docked and then *pop* everything
disappeared from the desktop, except the pointer, which I could move
with the mouse.

The machine was undocked and then a hard reboot was performed (pulled
the battery).

Another time the screen turned off, but a restart "fixed" that.

Both times the solution was proposed by HelpDesk, so YMMV.

Other than that I love the thing. Starts up fast, runs everything I
need. has a pretty decent battery life under load (Eclipse, SQL Ent
Mgr, 2-5 RDP windows, Lotus Notes (a feat unto itself), FF
(multi-tabs), IE6/7 (7 with multi-tabs) will run about 2 hours from
full charge.

Generally I run with power and when I don't have wall connection (on
th ebus, etc) I tend to run limited programs (CFEclipse/browsers...)
