that is unfair, until Saturday I was registered Republican because
Louisiana did not recognize any third parties until recently. I finally
changed my registration to Libertarian. I have been registered with the
Libertarian Party of Louisiana as a member.

Not all republicans think this way. Only the evangelicals. I think it
has to do with thier belief that humans are inherantly evil and need to be
saved from themselves (look up Martin Luther and "snow covered dung"
pile).

The Roman church takes a much more pessimistic look at the human animal.
We feel humans are inherantly good and do not need to be protected from
themselves. We offer moral guidelines that must be followed to be a
member of the Roman Church. We do not say our way is the only way, we
just say our way is our way.

FWIW, I will not take Viagra for the same reason my wife will not take
birth control, we feel both are morally at odds with our faith. You can
do what you want.

>Or, better yet, since the Republicans know who God would elect anyway,
>let's just let them decide. Because, as it turns out, God elects
>people and the Republicans know the mind of God.
