This just struck a nerve:

I know the politics inform the writing, but c'mon... does he REALLY think
that the only reason that Katherine Harris is going to lose is fallout from
the 2004 election?

Essentially he places all the blame for her decline on Bush and the GOP.
How about the fact that she's a complete loon and demonstrates it over and
over?

How about the fact that she's said "if you're not electing Christians then
in essence you are going to legislate sin" and that tenet of separation of
church and state is "a lie we've been told"?

How about the fact that she's used public funds to finance investigation
into clearly bogus magical remedies and pseudoscientific claptrap?

How about the fact that she's abused her power by having the police
confiscate all non-Harris literature as participants entered public meetings
with her?

There's also been numerous finance and ethical charges.

I fully expect Katherine herself to claim that she's a sad victim of
political fickleness but I never thought that anybody else would buy it.
