There's also the issue of privilege... Bush used his money to get out of
service, supposedly.

You know, I read that "is our children learning" a little after bush
got re-elected,
and was pretty surprised to see how dope Gore was. That guy, I respect.
If only he had been a little more public, and "entertaining" like he
was on whatever
late night show that was...

But what really pisses me off, is that Dick and Rumsfield (sp?) were big Boyd
buffs. Or so I read. At least Dick for sure. Boyd was a pretty cool dude.
Robert, iirc, a air force guy who only had marines at his funeral,
pissed off the
big brass, whatnot. 40 second boyd. Heh. Great book, btw.

Anyways, it's pretty sick how bad things were handled. We used the good
tactics at first, took mad territory all quick, but then they make the same
mistake people have been making for 1000s of years?!?! I don't get it.
And these stupid comments like "with our technology, one soldier is like
seven /normal/ soldiers" or whatever. Stuff Boyd specifically warned against.

It's really strange, really strange... I think, honestly, they used the ooda
for evil, id est, their own personal gains, not America's. Sorry if this sounds
sorta crazy, I'm half-assing it, and not laying good groundwork for folks who
don't know about OODA, and tactics, and math and whatnot. Or whatever.

Oh well, screw it, but that book called "Boyd" is awesome. If you like that
kind of stuff. ;-)

Loathe, I'm looking in your direction. What other language do you speak?
Glad you'll be 'round, btw.
