Polls show GOP may be closing gap By William L. Watts, MarketWatch Last Update: 10:37 AM ET Nov 6, 2006
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- A pair of polls released over weekend indicate Republican congressional candidates may be seeing late gains that could minimize the number of House and Senate seats lost by the GOP in Tuesday's midterm elections. A Pew Research Center poll released Sunday found Democrats had a lead of 47% to 43% among likely voters in House races, down from 50% to 39% two weeks ago. The survey echoed a Washington Post/ABC News poll released Saturday which showed the Democratic lead narrowed to six percentage points. A USA Today/Gallup survey also showed the Democratic lead had narrowed from 13 percentage points to seven points. http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/story.aspx?siteid=mktw&guid=%7B8D49C907-5D1D-449E-9A00-C3CD9649FB08%7D ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:219688 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
