Well, we need a new solution because it already is coming out of our
paychecks. There are some folks with a decent plan, but the bulk of
America is going downhill fast.

Admin costs in health care are over 30% when the average business has
5%. A good comparison was the Airline industry before it
de-regulated.

I'm convinced the solution is not national health care but consumer
driven health care. As I've mentioned before the theory behind it is
the same as a nose job: you find the best doctor for the price you
want to pay. The doctors compete for your business and specialize at
what they do.

MinuteClinic ( http://www.minuteclinic.com/ ) is an example of
company that's working in this space.

In order to make this change over, however, the industry will need a
massive overhaul and that would need to be led by Congress.

And there are holes. What about people that can't make those
decisions? Or those that don't have health savings accounts (HSAs)?

The bottom line is that the future of Health Care (and retirement)
should be personal savings accounts that are portable, tax free, and
self-administered.

The time to start, however, is now because the longer we wait the
harder it will be to do.
