it was a jab at bush. It fell flat. It did say he thought he was
better or smarter than bush but you know what? there's an argument to
be made that he is. He may have had the same grades at school, but he
strikes me as having, you know, more pixel depth.  Strategically
though, it makes me despair of the Democratic leadership who are
setting strategy for Kerry.

I have been thinking about this thread and here's what I at least
think is going on here: Bush has been very successful in getting
himself perceived as a regular guy. That blue shirt thing is classic.

So Kerry comes along and he is an intellectual, probably an introvert
too, judging by the public speaking woes, definitely *not*
hail-fellow-well-met. He pokes fun at Bush. Bad move because Bush is
now "one of us" as opposed to that egghead over there who is attacking
us.

Bottom line: Kerry should tell his handlers to f--- off.
