Hear hear! IIRC, the "everyone" William is referring to is the same everyone
Hendrix sang about. I am not a senator's son, or somethinglike that.

Anyone remember that movie Dragon Slayer? Heh. See, this stuff's been
'round for as long as there have been dragons demanding virgins.

Some people are real stand up blokes (like Gore*), and some are um... not
so stand up. Most of what I've learned about W. B. (historically) stems from
that book "Is Our Children Learning?" (bet the same heads complaining about
how Kerry "hates the troops", also complain G.W. Bush gets picked on, but
don't see the hypocrisy therein(to be clear, I'm a hypocrite, but I
try not to be))
*Kerry is a real stand up dude too. He *serves* as well.

Is there some book that might be biased the other way, and point out how
cool and saavy a businessman G.W. really was? And while I'm on the subject,
what would be a good counterpoint to "Blood Brothers" for a perspective on
the stuff with Palestine and Israel, etc.? And triple while-I'm-sorta-on-the
-subject- that should have read John Boyd, /by/ Robert Coran (iirc[1])... I was
emptying out the coffee pot the other day, and it hit me, that I'd transposed.

Strange, how the mind works- if you ask me.
[1] I could just look it up, and know for sure I'm finally right, but
this is funner.

Bah. Don't know why I'm asking about books. I've got more of them waiting
in the wings than DVDs I haven't seen yet. It is nice having a list, I reckon.

G.W. is really low when compared to Gore or Kerry. I for the life of me, and
with bated breath, try to see how G.W. could have possibly gotten a rep for
caring about the troops. The dude was cutting death pay for crissakes, and
not having qualms about sending our families to die for their country, fighting
something as lame as "terror". WTF?!?! And about terror, we as USAers
don''t even have a clue about terrorism. My god, I see these people get all
stirred up, and then I talk with folks who /really/ deal with this
shit day to day,
and I'm like, we don't have a clue. Not a clue.
Frankly, it was a sin to use our anger at being attacked and turn it into
some type of agenda furthering hoopla. I personally am fine with Saddam
getting taken out (wish it had been done different), but I have a HUGE
problem with the way in which the slime in washington used* America's
slant towards emotionalizm to get what they wanted. There were a million
legal and respectable ways to go about getting what they wanted, but
they resorted to things that make me feel shameful for being associated,
even in the smallest, with 'em. Bah. Bah bah. I'm ranting up a storm.
*pure crime is involved as well, it wasn't just emotion, etc..

I am such a hypocrite. I know about Carnegie, and Nixon, and how to get
what I want through showing how both sides can win and all that, and yet,
here I am, pissed and saying it. Blaming a dumb-ass Administration and
a dumb-ass populace/"the media", when that won't really get us as far as
showing the light out of the stupid bag, or whatever. Fsckit. Impeach
the mo-fo, repeal all the crap law, and reform. It would be a Bad Thing if
later on, people think "everyone" was like some so-and-so.

I mean, our current Prez is saying if you vote for "the other party" you're
voting for Bad Stuff. Give me a break (and not the kit-kat kind). I don't
remember- have many of our last few prezez pulled so many stunts?
Too bad memory and emotion and whatnot are all bundled or whatever.

Eh. What a rant. I'd point out that being against abortion but for death
penalties and getting what we want through force are conflicting beliefs,
but I don't have the heart. I'd be forced into the whole "what is life" thing
and get into the whole "computers are getting pretty smart, what about
them" type deal, which actually is pretty fun... oh no! I just killed a
process that might have solved a vexing problem! It was alive, I tell you!
Haven't you seen Tron? DON'T TURN OFF THE COMpUtER!

My OODA loops bring all the "oy"s to the yard,
and they're like,
it's better than yours...

*sigh* I'm silly ta boot. Sheesh.
I blame planetary movement.
