In the US, ISO right now is pretty much limited to manufacturing 
companies. Everyone in the automotive industry is going that way. And I 
believe the US government almost requires it from their suppliers. There 
are no laws requiring it but finished product manufacturers are more and 
more requiring all of their suppliers to be ISO.
