Hmm..for you and the GF? Adventure game style... hmm.. Fahrenheit is a great one. Adult storyline, thriller...but it is excellent. And has quite a few mini games indeed, a couple of them are rhythm based. It is also called Indigo Prophecy in the US. If you can get the UK version of the game though, (Called "Fahrenheit") it is uncensored. The US version has various scenes censored.
Another one you might like is The Longest Journey 2. Another Adventure with mini games. I'm assuming you want to stick to Adventure Games here.
