I know you didn't ask for advice, but I can't help myself... I always give this advice on a meeting spot:
1) Have a projector 2) Have free parking 3) Centrally located (near a freeway) 4) Easy access to the room - if you can (secure buildings are a PITA) 5) Internet access (some networks don't allow guest access - worth checking into) 6) Air Conditioning - sounds silly, but alot of office buildings turn off their air after 6:00pm I also always try to have a spot picked out for drinks (or pizza) afterward. Everyone doesn't come, but some usually do. I also see alot of people head down a path where they try to setup this huge elaborate website and email list and database for the group before doing anything else and getting a meeting going. DON'T DO IT! Don't spend any time with anything else until you: 1) Have a one page website 2) Have secured a meeting place 3) Have found and confirmed a speaker / topic Also - Once you meet some minimum requirements, Ed will put you on a mailing list with a ton of other CFUG manager who are more than willing to help you out with advice and such. -Cameron On 12/7/06, Charlie Griefer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Jacob: > > Thing is we'd probably want internet access and a projector.
