fyi my sleep lab seems to think that ADD symptoms are absolutely a
symptom of sleep deprivation. The two do correlate, though causation
is unclear. My psychiatrist disagrees, or possibly doesn't care. He
just treats the symptoms.

 I very much second the sentiment about being diagnosed earlier....
actually I was told about fifteen years ago that I probably did have
it, but that they did not treat adults due to concerns about
addiction. I managed to break through this attitude recently but it
took a good eighteen months of psych evals before they decided that I
do not have an addictive personality. Strattera is not in my
provider's formulary or it might have been easier. The choices were
Ritalin or nothing and they were inclined for a long time to go with
nothing.
