Scientists are often chided--by the unscientific--for changing the
conclusions based on new evidence.

Which is on odd thing, since that is exactly what science is supposed to do.

you don't start with a conclusion and then tailor the evidence to fit
it. that is the realm of ID and Creationism...not real science
