Well, some people might really debate the "need" to have these things, LOL. But sure, if you have towing needs that only a large car or truck will meet, then that's what you get. But many people simply do not need it. Just look at the trend in car sizes over the last 10 years or so. Most of us could make due with something smaller, but the tendency is still to buy big. Perhaps it is that we keep buying more and more stuff and need more room to haul it all around in.
