When I needed an XML primer I went to Half Price Books and bought
Elizabeth Castro's XML for the World Wide Web and XML by Example from
Que.

The two books together cost $15 bucks and i refer to the "by Example"
book quite a lot.

As for SQL Server I have the hardback Microsoft SQL Server 7 book and
I mostly read stuff online for updates.

Windows Server books I always go with Minasi's "Mastering" (SYBEX)
books. The last one I owned was NT4 but I have seen Windows 2000. I
don't know if there is a Windows 2003 Server book out from him, but if
there is, buy it.

I may have to buy a new book though as I am now delving into SQL Server 2005...
