We use it at my school for some of our classes depending on instructor discretion. I used to have it doing all of my homeworks, quizzes and exams online but poor performance with MySQL in a shared environment and student ingenuity (they figured out a way around the security of the exams) led me to make it more of an option.
The only place where I make it required to use is in my programming classes where they have to submit their work through it. Otherwise I have all of my materials available in PDF format. Other instructors use it to provide powerpoints, lesson plans, discussion forums and other things. After using it for a little less than a year I can say that it's "okay" but only after moving it to a dedicated LAMP box. If you want I can set you up with an account to set up a class and see it in action. Hatton ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Create robust enterprise, web RIAs.
