As for the donuts...not stale. As for the beer...yes. When I was stationed in Monterey, me and my buddies would pack into a jeep on Thursday after class and drive to San Jose to a bar called Toons for $.50 drafts. Drink until the bar closed at 1 am and then drive back down to Monterey, only to start class again at 7:30 am. What were the drafts you ask? Natural Light (ew)! Ergo, I'm not too picky. Gary and Russell might have more sophisticated tastes, but seeing that they were former military also, they probably drank their share of "piss" beer too.
