I don't think that's accurate. As Nick said, it gave her some exposure (and
therefore popularity), but liberal and moderate women love her. She is very
smart, very capable, and very determined. She is the best female national
candidate we've ever seen in this country. If women want to back a woman
candidate, she is the one. Personally, I just don't like her policies or her
marginal ethics.

As for who she is appealing to, the old Clinton vote is a big chunk of her
base, but she is counting on the African-American vote in the South, and
Obama is going to drain that vote from her, and the Left is still pissed at
her for supporting the war, so she may lose a big chunk of that vote. What
will be interesting to see is how long more than two candidates stay in the
race. If we go through several primaries with four or five candidates still
in, they may all split the anti-Hillary vote, leaving her to win on the
strength of the old Clinton base. If it comes down to Hillary, Obama, and
maybe Richardson (my favorite among the Dems), who knows what happens.
