What is this, bash on California day?

1. But, think about it, California has beaches the other states flock to
True, next to Florida I think that California has some of the best beaches
and the best surf in the country

2. make wine
True again. We have some of the best wine in the country

3. drive tiny cars
When was the last time you were here? We do not all drive tiny cars. I see a
LOT of SUV's, full size trucks and cars, more than compacts in some places.
In fact, I do not see any difference in the vehicles being driven here as in
Texas, where I recently moved from.

4. serve little bitty amounts of food on huge plates.
Again not true. My family and I frequent many restaurants here in SoCal and
I can think of plenty of occasions where I had to take leftovers home for
lunch the next day. And believe me, I can eat! Now if you are talking about
those trendy places where if you need to see prices you cannot afford to eat
there, then yes, you are correct. But then again, I had the same experience
in Fort Worth. Family and I went to a upscale shirt and tie type place
before a performance at Bass Hall, and lo and behold, I paid over $150.00
for the three of us and all we had was itty bitty amounts of food on large
plates. My wife and daughter are the queens of not finishing food, and they
complained that they did not get enough. I bet you can find these places in
Chicago, DC, Miami, NYC and other big cities too.

In fact, many of the things that folks complain about regarding California
(especially those who have never been here or only visited for a few days)
you can find in other states. Dallas, Fort Worth, DC, Chicago, Miami... I
have either done long term contracts in these cities or have lived there,
and I can tell you I see a lot of the same things there that folks talk
about when complaining/bashing California.

Not sure where you are getting your information from but you are only
batting .500.
