It's a more expensive hardware solution but Matrox offers "DualHead2Go"
(both digital and analog) and "TripleHead2Go" options which have been
reviewed very well.

The box basically fools your PC into thinking that there's a "double wide"
(or "triple wide") monitor attached to it and then splitting that signal to
multiple monitors.

Easy to set up and pretty damn slick.
