When my wife was going through day long interviews for this management
consulting firm they did all of the normal case interviews, tests,
etc, but they also asked brain teasers. One I remember is:

Estimate the circumference of the Earth.

The trick was not to see how close they got, but to see if they'd
scared by the question first, and second, how they'd try to solve it.

The point being that one of the key skills one needs to be successful
in business is the ability to make decisions based on imperfect data.
My guess is that many large corporations see the balance of facts in
favor of human caused GW.

That being the case they want the PR advantage of saying they were on
board early. "Walmart: aligned with the Plant, aligned with you."

There's your profit incentive. Ain't capitalism great?

(plus it's a way to stave costs. If the government suddenly imposes a
carbon tax or other brutal policy, those not prepared or already
operating that way could easily be driven out of business.)
