Over the years , from time to time (is that redundant, not that I really
care. If it really bothers you report it to your 8th grade English
teacher, he/she will be glad you retained something ) the subject of
Spam comes across this list. It is my understanding that Michael has
gone to great lengths to protect us from Spam. Thank you Michael and
Judith for allowing him the time away from family for such trivial
pursuits (no tm, and thankfully none of the oh so gaining in popularity
content linking advertising crapola).

However, every now and then someone finds a way to circumvent Michaels
efforts. BFD we get a few spam messages coming through. Deal With It.

A while back the founder of this list ( I got tired of using Michael in
every other sentence) modified the display so that it no longer
displayed our email addresses for the evil Spam Masters to harvest.
Kudos (crap can't even use Kudos with sounding like Rush Blowhard (hi
Sam). Something else high-jacked from general use by an extremist. Thank
you Mr. Jessie Jackson and the gay community (not necessarily related)
for high-jacking the Rainbow) to aforementioned founder herein to be
referenced as the List God or LG for short! (Go back and read that last
sentence without the parenthesis if you want it to make sense.

So with all the complaining about Spam and all the efforts of LG to
protect us from it (as if we don't already get 500 freaking spams a day,
so what difference will 6 more make?) Why in the F*&^*^ do some of you
find it necessary to include my email address in your responses to
posts??? It really is ok to reference a name or a moniker or just quote
the damn post. See examples:

Example 1:
Do you think I care about your opinion?

 >bob
 >rants suck

That is an acceptable manner of responding to Bob's post of "rant's suck".

Example 2:
Do you think I care about your opinion?

"rant's suck"

No reference to individual who posted "rant's suck", but the response is
understood because quoting the original post provides context. Again, no
email address required.

Example 3:
Bob, do you really think I care about your opinion of my rant?

No reference to original post, so this methodology can be a little
harder to follow but still somewhat acceptable.

Example 4:
do you really think I care about your opinion?

rant's suck
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

What the hell is the purpose of including Bob's email address? Why not
just add his address into the Master Spammer's ultimate list of email
addresses (now available on a three disc set for $49.95)

Or you can be a little more creative and write a snippet of code that
seeks out registration forms and register his email address with every
registration form online.

Who's the Fing_Tard who puts my email in his response. I have a stash
of last years muffins right here. Did you see the Rock, Paper, Scissors
commercial during the Toilet Bowl. Yeah, you better duck pinhead.
