Is that the wireless card for connecting to a local wireless network or
a true WiFi card that you can be anywhere and connect in without being
at a Panera Bread or some place like that who offers WiFi services?

I see Cingular has the Wireless Laptop Connect card to connect to
wireless networks for $59.99 (unlimited) and WiFi cards that run $99.99
a month for unlimited.

I use cingular. $59.99 unlimited plan.
Works well now that the card works with my laptop. :) Do not need a cell
phone plan. its a stand alone.
