Ah, four person retail store-- depends. Is it a book store? ;)

Yeah, I get your point. I don't think it's valid tho. You can
get support in either case. Open Arch. or Closed.

I'm extremist sorta too-- that idea of paying some dude some
money to do stuff? Same deal, you're more "covered" working
with a company, where everything doesn't rely on one dude.

I /would/ like to see it be a local company. Here, even in "shoulda
made a left at albuquerque"s ville, we've got little businesses
made up of a few individuals who do support. Open, closed,
whathaveyou.

Anyways, you'll never convince me that there is a down side
to open source. Or that people who have researched their
options think it's a bunch of 13YOs in basements.

Arr, there's licensing, but conceptually, ya know? It just
rocks. I've gotta put some more of my stuff out there.

Crappy as it is, someone else my find it useful.

Although, hm... I'm already busy enough as it is, I don't
need people offering me money to work on my stuff for
'em... bah, least I wouldn't "have" to, right? ;)

Anyone looking at open source (especially newbs, for
the first time) are going to take away a whole different
picture than the one you paint Nick. I don't think it's
the little retailers you're talking about. I think it's you.

You still haven't seen the light, brother. But don't fear,
for when I'm emperor, you'll live in the light. Or [in the
Shakespearian sense] Die!

Well, that- and everyone will have to be able to spin
on their head, at least 2 rotations. Tweeg may pull
it out of his ass and distant memory, but the rest of
you guys--

Better get to practicing.
