All that having been said I'll give him this: he could've succeeded in spite of himself. It's kinda like your buddy that decides to play his entire life savings on one hand of blackjack: even if he wins, he's still an idiot for doing it. Well, Bush could've won, even though he was still an idiot for doing it. Had he done things right from Day 1 of the invasion, had he listened to his generals and finance staff, he just might have pulled this off.
