I was larking around on WebScription.net looking for interesting Baen books to read. I found this one in the free eLibrary that they offer. I was so impressed I bought it over the weekend.

She fled the UN dominated, politically correct Earth for the free market driven, independent planet of Freehold. After severe bouts of culture shock, and an indenturement for her emmigration fees, she eventually joiuns the Freehold Military Forces, a professional force that takes training and discipline seriously. Eventiually there is a war between Earth and the Freehold. To find out more, read the book. It had an enjoyable story with some suspense with the story of a woman adjusting to a culture opposite her birth culture.
