If you are going to buy a new computer this year, then I would wait.

I like vista, the UAC stuff isn't that annoying, it doesn't happen for any
of my normal activities, only when I'm doing system changes or opening
regedit or something like that.

I think anybody who is using it for the first time and installing new
programs and stuff like that will have to do a few clicks more than they
used to, but once you have completed that phase, it runs just like the old
OS does.
