This sounds to me like as much hype as Gore is supposedly expounding. Two quotes stick out right away.
#1. The title of the book "/Unstoppable Global Warming Every 1500 Years/". Sounds like hype. How does anyone know it's unstoppable? Who tried to stop it? What did they do? i am not saying there isn't a 1500 cycle. I don't know. But the title is as much hype as anything the gw supporters put out. #2. "efforts to combat global warming will have long-term, serious, negative impacts on the citizens of the world, whose quality of life, especially in the poorest nations, will be disastrously worsened." -Please explain this; How will the efforts to reduce Global Warming of the developed world create such a disastrous impact on the poorest nations? How will any efforts to combat Global Warming have disastrous effects on the poorest nations or any nation? Big business decries that trying to use new more environmentally friendly technology will cripple them financial, but again that's all hype. The cost of adding seat belts to cars was supposed to raise the price of cars so much that the auto industry would tumble. Then the cost of airbags was supposed to be too high. Yeah right. Business never wants to upset the status quo as long as they are making money. I wonder what the American Steel industry thinks about upgrading? I wonder if they would take a different approach than they did in the 50's, 60's and 70's. When the American steel industry was king. Back before the Japanese and others created better more cost effective methods for dealing with the milling of steel. I don't know if GW is caused by man or not. I don't know if there is a 1500 year cycle that sees a raise in global temperatures. I am tired of all the hype, the marketing and scare tactics. I would like to see data. Who says GW is man made. Show me the data, no hype, no scare tactics as Sgt Friday used to said, "Just the Facts Mame, just the facts". Same goes for the other side, and the industrialists who claim the world will fall apart if they use more environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, fuel efficient cars, alternative fuels etc...
