She thought he was a scapegoat. It was a real Marsha Clark - try the gloves on -moment. She thinks Cheney or Rove committed a crime. Someone had to take the fall so she did her job and convicted the only person presented to her. Wait until she finds out Armitage did it and he wasn't even charged with wrongdoing. No crime was even committed. She'll sing a different tune then I bet.
