Moron is too strong-- perhaps, "not well informed" would be more
appropriate- ignorant, neh? Look, if we all decided, together, that
we wanted things a certain way, then that's all it would take.

Goodly and badly, there's that whole person/island, flame/fire deal.

So we're stuck with compromise, pretty much. Relativities, and such.

Anyways, the entire country should be up in arms, in my opinion,
over the crap that has transpired over the last century. There has
been a landslide of it, since Bush2 took office, and 9/11 occurred.

Sorta the global warming argument, ya know?

Especially disheartening is when a comedy rag (The Onion), can
make predictions such as "we'll be at war, the surplus will be
replaced with deficit, god is good" etc. I mean, our leader
is using words like "crusade" and "evil doers" and whatnot,
letting religion dictate policy, and all number of just retarded
things.

And "we" elected him- twice!?!?!?

The Ori are getting in the way of Enlightenment. :-P

I know, and the answer is yes. And there's the whole "broken window"
analogy, where a neighborhood goes down the crapper cuz of one (1)
broken window, left unfixed.

Ignoring the Elephants is even sillier tho.

Good. I wish more people thought that way, but they don't. I think
the majority (if we can believe our "senses") does not really think
for itself.

Mainstream media is screwed up, major, though. Omissions, yup.
Horrible ones.

Who here heard about the dude who was running for pres who
got arrested when he tried to attend the debates, in MnStrmMedia?

If you can even call what happened "debate". See, I'd like some
effort in that area-- bring real debate back! I believe that is more
important than this deal with "biased" instructors, for instance.

Well, one can always complain, but sometimes the complaints
are "more worthy" than others, I reckon (may be related to the
difference between a "reason" and an "excuse", ;-)).

As a tax payer-- my god! Are you going to take responsibility
for the actions of the Country? :-))

Accreditation is just a form of quality control, and I thought
you were talking about quality control, so I thought that for
sure you would have investigated that avenue, and whathave
you.

You can complain all you want, I didn't mean you couldn't,
like first amendment-wise =]] Or any-wise, for that matter.

Just trying to give more weight to the "we need to do some-
thing about this" factor of your argument, and give non-gubment
type answers. :-/ it's all a form of rules and whatnot tho, I guess.

Man, I'm philisophiclilicle. Sorry for the airy whatnot.

Ah. This is different now! You're not just an arm-chair, you're a user!

And you really feel that we can't self-regulate this without some form
of higher power? Even when a Christian group can find ways to get
plays about vaginae nixed? Or we can make life so unpleasant for
a prof. that he goes into early retirement?

I guess you've tried talking to your co-workers? What's your perception
of the student body in regard to this? Most of them feel as the teachers
do, so it's not "fair" for those that don't- or are these colleagues
maverick,
loose cannon types, not on page with the rest of the program? Just
bad teachers, and the students you get from them complain about them?
"Most" of the students?

And as a side note, what is your perception of the level of these kids
coming in over the last 10 years? Have things seemed "about the same",
or are you seeing a drop in ability or whatnot? Or, hoping against hope,
have you noticed a steady increase in the knowledge and preparedness
they bring with them?

Indeed. I think we're on the same page, and "making things happen"
is a varied path. I honestly don't know what the right answer is, you
know-- Perhaps Nietzsche is onto something. :-P

I favor direct communication, transparency, and honesty-- which can
lead to unpleasant things like putting a foot in ones mouth ( Which
is Out Of Style now, if it was ever In ).

I don't know if more spoons in the pot is the answer, but for sure
communication and idea sharing can't be bad.

It plays a bigger part in most things and people don't understand.
(For sure not the majority).

I like your pessimist comment, let's go with we can just choose. =]

I've got Faith, we'll be alright no matter what. It's fun tooting the horn
is all.

Sadly, I'm not Too Concerned about Anything- Faith Rocks!
So anywhere where I say bad stuff, it's mostly devil's advocate.
Or acting like Mike from "The Office" inadvertently.

What do people think about Truly Believing Everything's Cake? Is that Lame?

Not that it can't be cake-er =-]

But we've got free will. What more can we really ask for? w00t fer life!

And my lord!, why do I wonder hither and yon on freaking everything?
"Sorry" to any who are bothered by this behavior. I [can] mangle threads.
