I've actually run into something pretty similar and laughed. And for those wondering the message was "Your teacher asked me to call and say that nobody is going to drop you from your online class for you, Therefor you need to either log in and do something or get yourself to a drop/add form."
I mean people can have whatever they want on their voicemail, but it would be nice to know that you are actually reaching the person you think you are. After all, if you are not you can always quit callng.
