I think we need a rules committee.  A body that can vote on and 
implement rules for the list.

For instance:

Rule #1. No political thread shall extend for a period exceeding  5 work 
days. 

Ie.. AG Rant:  your time is up good bye.

Rule #2.  Someone (Erica) must provide muffins for newbies within there 
first week but no sooner than there third day.  The three day rule is to 
prevent welcoming people like DF.

Rule #3. No individual can argue with Sam on more than two threads at 
any given time : ). (Have a nice weekend Sam, Sorry Dana)

Rule #4. Anyone posting a technical question on Community is banned for 
a mandatory period of no less than 1 day for a first offense, Three days 
for a second offense etc...

Rule #5. Any community member can submit proposals for new rules to the 
committee.

Rule #6. All committee members serve at the pleasure of Mike D.  and 
therefore may be terminated at anytime for any reason including 
political or religious reasons in which case two weeks of asinine 
threads (see Rule #1) will commence pertaining to the legitimacy of the 
firing, who knew, when they knew and whether or not it matters.
